Partnerships

Partnership working

We work with agencies and organisations to address key areas vital to reducing reoffending. Our key areas of work are:

  • Accommodation
We work with local authorities and other agencies to help improve offender access to supported housing.
  • Mental and physical health
We are working towards a health plan for offenders in the community.
  • Children and families of offenders
We aim to ensure that local child protection plans link with Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA).
  • Attitudes, thinking and behaviour
We have a range of accredited programmes to help address offending behaviour and our partnership agencies contribute to this.
  • Education, Training and Employment (ETE)
We work closely with others to increase basic skills assessments and awards for offenders.
  • Drugs and alcohol
We work with partnership agencies to use drug testing and additional licence conditions to support drug users in reducing reoffending. Alcohol and substance related requirements and drink impaired drivers programmes are jointly commissioned, together with specialist treatment for offenders to reduce reoffending.
  • Finance, benefit and debt
We are continually developing partnerships with voluntary agencies and other organisations that specialise in this provision.
